Approx. 6" squash (Cucurbita pepo) starts planted from seed in late April in 4" pots. Creamy and tender texture with a slight butter flavor when cooked. Water plant generously in dry weather and transplant with extra care till established. 42 to 50 days to harvest. Pick squash often when it appears, not picking will stop the production of the plants. Ready to harvest just after blossom falls and fruit can be easily dented with a thumbnail.
